• Base fee: $65. For some countries reciprocal rates apply instead — check your consulate's page.
• Expedited processing: double the fee.
• Airport application points: 2550 UAH.
• Regular processing: up to 10 working days, extendable to 30 when additional checks are required.
• Expedited processing: up to 5 working days.
• The fee is not refunded on refusal.

What the no-refund rule means for planning

The fee buys consideration, not a visa. That makes the quality of the file the real cost lever: a complete document set filed once is cheaper than a cheap application filed twice — and a refusal also leaves a record you then work around.

Regular or expedited — the honest trade-off

Expedited doubles the fee to compress the wait to 5 working days. But note the asymmetry: the 30-day extension for additional checks is about your file, not your payment tier. Money buys a shorter queue, not a skipped verification. If your dates are far out, regular processing plus an early application beats paying double.

Where you can file — and when

Applications open no earlier than 3 months before travel and are accepted through consulates, 71 visa application centres in 48 countries, and the airport MFA points at Boryspil and Odesa — the airport route exists for emergency cases and decides the same day, at its own fee above. The parallel cost line

Every application also carries the insurance line: coverage from EUR 30 000 for the whole period of stay — and for Ukraine that means a policy with the war-risk element, priced for your actual dates at checkout, not guessed from tables. The e-Visa's own fee scale is separate.
