How to count your 90/180 days for Ukraine — with calculator
90/180 day calculator
Everything is calculated in your browser — your dates are not sent or stored anywhere.
Leave the exit date empty if you are still in Ukraine.
How the counting actually works
The rule sounds simple: 90 days within any 180-day period. The part people miss is *any*. The 180-day window is not fixed to a calendar half-year — on every single day of your stay, the window is the 180 days ending on that day, and the days of presence inside it must not exceed 90. The rule itself, and why it exists, we cover separately.
Three counting facts prevent most mistakes:
- Entry and exit days both count. Land at 23:50 — that calendar day is a day of stay.
- All trips add up. The window does not care how many separate visits the days came from.
- Days recover one by one. A day of stay stops counting exactly 180 days later — your allowance comes back gradually, not in a lump.
Worked examples
One trip. You enter on 1 March and stay continuously. Your 90th day of stay is 29 May — that is your last allowed day if you had no earlier trips.
Several trips. You spent 20 days in January and 10 in February. In April, the window still contains all 30 — you have 60 days left, not 90.
The window crossing. You used all 90 days by late March. You cannot re-enter the next week: the earliest day a new entry becomes possible is when your oldest day of stay slides out of the 180-day window. The calculator above finds that date for you.
Using the calculator
Enter each trip's entry and exit dates; leave the exit empty if you are still in Ukraine. The tool shows days used in the current window, days remaining, your latest exit date if you are inside, and — when the limit is spent — the earliest next entry. Everything is computed in your browser; nothing is sent or stored.
The result is arithmetic, not authority: the count that matters is the one border officers make from your passport stamps. Check the official entry-regime source ↗ ↗ for your country's regime — a few countries count differently.
If the numbers come out wrong
Over the limit — even accidentally — has real consequences. If your plans need more than 90 days, that is no longer a visa-free question: see the legal routes to a longer stay. And whatever the dates say, every day of the stay needs insurance with war-risk cover.
Frequently asked questions
Do the entry and exit days count as days of stay?+
Yes, both. The day you enter and the day you leave are full days of stay for the 90/180 count, regardless of the hour.
Is the 180-day window fixed to the calendar?+
No — it rolls. On every day of stay, look back 180 days including that day; the days of presence in that window must not exceed 90.
When do my used days come back?+
Each day of stay stops counting exactly 180 days after it happened. The allowance recovers day by day, not all at once.
Does the calculator send my dates anywhere?+
No. It runs entirely in your browser — dates are not transmitted, logged or stored.
Is the calculator's result official?+
No — it is arithmetic on the dates you enter. The binding count is made by border authorities from your passport records; verify your regime at the official source.
